Welcome Constituents!

The West Volusia Hospital Authority (WVHA) is an independent special tax district of Volusia County, whose charter is to provide access to health care for low-income residents of the district.  The WVHA levies an ad valorem tax (property tax) on the owners of real property in the district to fund its activities.  A board of five elected commissioners oversees the Authority, deciding how best to invest our resources to make sure our residents get the help they need, regardless of their ability to pay for it.

This is my personal website, not an official WVHA website.  Please verify anything you read here by checking official legal notices in the Daytona Beach News-Journal, or ask me how to request copies of WVHA meeting agendas, minutes, budgets, or other documents in the public record.

One of my goals as a Commissioner is to facilitate the creation of an official web site for the Hospital Authority.  Meanwhile, if you have suggestions, questions or concerns about the Authority, please feel free to contact me.  Remember, I work for you!
